The old gods bless my editor. Every few weeks I get a small email from him asking how the novel is progressing. My answer has invariably been the same: it’s getting there. And it is. Piece by piece, word by word, the tale of Grimnir against the zealous Crusaders of Konráðr the White is falling into place. I recently had to strip out many thousands of words I’d written when the tale meandered into a corner, which amounted to setting me back several months. These things happen. Characters get invested in their own semblance of life and grow headstrong. I liken it to trying to weave a rug in a gale. One wrong move and all your threads are blowing in the breeze . . .
So, work continues on Twilight of the Gods — now set for release on April 30, 2019. It’s back on track, and now I’m trying to make up for lost words and time. I want to hand it in at the end of the month, but it will more likely be October or November.
Thanks for your patience, Gentle Readers!
